Maersk Oil is looking for an experienced EOR Reservoir Engineer to join our EOR Capability Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark. We Offer Recently, Maersk Oil launched the Corporate EOR Capability Centre in Copenhagen Denmark. The Centre is charged with providing EOR technical support across all assets within the company and to develop the long term EOR capability of the company. The team is composed of eight EOR specialists primarily focusing on subsurface issues. Maersk Oil is currently operating: 1) an active offshore hydrocarbon WAG project, 2) a first contact miscible LPG WAG project in Kazakhstan, 3) we are working on several low salinity and chemical EOR projects across the world. In addition, there are several CO2 and hydrocarbon EOR projects across the company that are under study. Maersk Oil is a non-operating partner of several active WAG projects in Algeria. Key Responsibilities You will be expected to work collaboratively with the various operating assets and other departments such as New Business Development to provide cost efficient EOR solutions. You are expected to be strong in compositional simulation. You will be one of the thought leaders in EOR tools and workflow development within the team and across the company. You will also be expected to carry out study work minimal direct supervision. The job will require strong knowledge of waterflooding and one of the key EOR processes. Familiarity with other EOR processes is a plus. • One of several senior member of a team of 8 to 10 EOR specialists. • Development and maintenance of EOR tools and workflows. • Contribute to the team core compositional simulation capability • Participate in field development studies • Interface with internal stakeholders. Who we are looking for Interpersonal Skills; • An excellent listener and willing to learn and adapt • Strong presentation skills • Ability to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders • Work in integrated and specialist teams Functional Job Skills: Essential: • 10+ years industry experience • Minimum 5 years with compositional modelling • Minimum 5 years working in environments with operational waterflood and/or EOR projects • Strong reservoir simulation and study skills are critical • Familiar with phase behaviours if not in depth knowledge of the issue • Field development planning with waterflood and EOR • Recognising key risks and uncertainties in projects • Strong interpersonal skills Preferred skills: • Deep technical skills • Understanding of phase behaviour • Experience with long horizontal wells • Tight carbonate experiences • Development of offshore fields • Past WAG experiences For further information, please contact: Michelle Cecilia Svensson +45 3363 1845.
