For our Procurement Methods Processes Systems (MPS) team we are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist. The MPS team defines standards and provides tools to support the global procurement activities of Siemens Wind Power. Our supplier management process focuses not only on quality, costs and availability, but also on the suppliers’ ability to innovate as well as sustainability. We facilitate sourcing decisions made in cross functional teams, based on comprehensive total cost analysis. . What are my responsibilities? • Identifying improvement possibilities in the area of responsibility • Defining and aligning procurement processes with interfaces (fx. Commodity Managers, Supply Managers and Supplier Quality Managers) and driving their implementation • Managing benchmarking activities in order to gain information about methods, processes and systems from other Siemens divisions and competitors • Preparing the organization for internal and external audits • Guiding auditors through their assessment and following up on observations and improvements to ensure on-time closing What do I need to qualify for this job? • In depth knowledge of process requirements from integrated management systems fx. ISO 9001 • Experience in supplier interaction and negotiation situations as well as sound understanding of supply contracts • You are good at influencing and inspiring and can persuade the customers and cross functions to see the benefits of proposed improvements • You are a strong communicator and collaborator within your team and cross-functionally • You work systematically and can establish a comprehensive framework for your area of responsibility • You are proactive and continuously looking for ways to improve processes In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
