In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide all the way from early development phases to market approval, including life cycle management. We produce medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions to authorities, ensuring that all processes live up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics.

 

About the department
Trial Operations Obesity is part of Global Development. We plan, drive and finalise global clinical trial activities in phase 2-4. In Obesity we strive to understand the unmet needs related to obesity and to work closely together with the global obesity community.

You will be working out of our office buildings in Søborg, Denmark.

 
The position

As Sr. ITM you will be the project manager in charge of timely planning, execution and finalisation of clinical trials. You will be driving the progress of trial activities having a direct impact on the success of the trials. With a senior role also comes more responsibility, and we expect you to lead by example and to drive or monitor more complex trial projects yourself when necessary. 

You will be setting up trials, developing trial documents such as protocols, monitoring guidelines, recruitment and retention strategies and providing input to a range of clinical IT systems. Important aspects of the role are to chair the International Study Group, plan and conduct Monitor and Investigator conferences, and keep track of the trial budgets. Participation in cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives is also expected. 

You will work with the International Study Group to ensure timely delivery of trial management activities and oversee coordination of deliverables from relevant stakeholders as well as keep track of trial risk and mitigation plans. 

Working as a Trial Manager at Novo Nordisk headquarters is a unique opportunity to join the Trial Operations community consisting of approximately 200 trial managers. This makes plenty of room for learning and developing both personally and professionally.


Qualifications
You hold a relevant degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Health Care or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience in clinical trial management.

 

You have solid project management experience and an ability to balance quality with a drive to meet challenging deadlines and get things done. You work in a decisive and structured manner and have a proven track record of ensuring that trial activities progress within the given timelines and budget. You keep focus in busy periods with strict timelines and your confident sense of urgency allow you to handle many tasks simultaneously. 

As Sr. ITM, you will be working with a broad range of stakeholders, both professionally and culturally. It is therefore essential that your cultural awareness and general approach allows you build trustful relations across geography, organisations and cultures. Your determination to excel and your persistency gives you a drive that inspires the people around you, and your great presentation, communication and negotiation skills allows you to motivate colleagues and business partners in an ambitious and challenging working environment. 

Strong IT and data process knowledge is expected, and proficiency in written and spoken English is considered essential.
