Do you want to be part of a well delivery team challenged with designing and drilling wells that are fit for purpose and economically sound? Join us and become a staff Senior Drilling Engineer in Well Construction which is responsible for planning, executing and reporting all well activities within Exploration & Production's footprint. In the well delivery teams, we are tasked with the challenge of designing safe, efficient and long-lasting wells as per our customer's requirements. We have a strong focus on doing it right the first time and thorough planning. The department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Senior Drilling Engineer, it is your responsibility to prepare the technical work for the well you are planning, support the operation and report at end of well. You assist the team and internal stakeholders as required in evaluations of business opportunities, cost estimation and all technical well-related issues. You also participate in technical reviews and perform quality assurance of other well delivery projects to ensure technical compliance and excellence. You will be reporting to one of our Well Delivery Managers. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •handle daily communication with stakeholders in Facilities, Operations and Subsurface groups •prepare drilling programmes and guidelines •facilitate drill well on paper venues •set up and ensure correct reporting in OpenWells •deliver well cost and stage review documentation •handle daily cost and risk management •contribute to general departmental tasks as required. Your profile You have an engineering degree and extensive experience from the offshore drilling industry, preferably as Drilling Engineer with an operator. We are looking for a candidate that is both versatile and flexible due to the highly dynamic nature of the Well Construction department and the industry in general. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
