About the Position
For our Offshore Projects Procurement department, we are looking for an enthusiastic & dedicated employee who will be responsible for all Equipment related purchases as a Senior Buyer or Buyer in close cooperation with the technical team based in Vejle. This is a varied Procurement role, where you will be responsible for purchasing tooling, transportation equipment as well as related services for maintenance and re-work. In addition to the core Procurement tasks you will be also accountable for shaping and optimizing the whole internal chain from demand generation, design, purchase and delivery jointly with your cross-functional counterparts.
What are my responsibilities?
- Preparing, conducting and leading negotiations for small, medium and larger purchasing volumes to obtain highest feasible savings while ensuring on time supply of materials which fulfil quality and project requirements
- Forming and implementing regional & global commodity strategies for both components and services to ensure long-term cost-efficient supply
- Implementing and developing the whole internal chain from demand generation, design, purchase and delivery jointly with your cross-functional counterparts to ensure that key deliverables are provided to Procurement in time to ensure in time supply
- Establishing cost control and cost transparency in the defined area of responsibility
- Maintain regular contacts with interface partners such as Engineering, Supply Management and Supplier Quality departments and other internal stakeholders.
- Perform Supplier Management, Qualification and Development to ensure an optimum supply chain
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- You have a Bachelor+ degree (Business Administration / Engineering) as educational background.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a global environment within the areas of strategic procurement, supply chain management or equipment management.
- You have a thorough commercial as well as technical understanding
- You have a systematic and structured approach to your assignments while being used to work on several tenders in parallel
- As a person you are curious, open minded, proactive and possess outstanding communication skills. You understand that you will strive more when achieving the goals as a team
- You have excellent English skills both orally and in writing, and you are an advanced user of Microsoft Office and SAP
- You are a dedicated team player thriving in a dynamic environment with many cross-cultural interfaces
