If you have provable talent for developing protocols and layered support for hardware communication devices and would enjoy developing a complex data driven modelling tool using proprietary DSLs, you are at the right address. Furthermore, you consider keeping complexity simple in a multi team setup and know your design patterns by heart.

You will join a growing team of up to 13 highly skilled and engaged Java/Eclipse and tooling happy developers. We are spread across two sites and work in a multi-cultural environment. We develop and maintain a modelling and communication tool which is used everywhere from microchip development, over embedded software to our production sites. Everybody uses our tool suite, and because of this, we are critical to the success of the organisation in reaching overall business goals.
We are an agile Scrum-driven team with high ambitions in that area. We believe that the best results come from a fruitful team effort. We support each other and constantly share feedback and knowledge to improve our results. We have an informal and creative atmosphere where respect is pivotal and we strive for the common goal.
Defining, implementing and maintaining tools
And here comes your tasks and responsibilities:
- Developer on an advanced development tool using the Eclipse Platform/OSGi and Java SE
- Development on communication device support and the layers upwards
- Provide training, support and setup for other teams
- As your domain knowledge increases, grow into the architectural master you have talent for to work alongside the team's existing seniors
Your backpack
We expect you to have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. Still, you do not consider hardware as something to fear. Furthermore, we are looking for the following skills:
- Strong competencies in Java – 5+ years of professional experience
- Attention to detail and ability to break down complex features into simpler parts with strong interfaces
- Working knowledge and application of good software practices and design patterns
- Experience with Eclipse IDE plugin development preferred but not required

You are analytic and social and always open for doing a little better every day. Not the least, you have fun doing it!
