The team
You will become part of an autonomous SCRUM team of six highly skilled cross-functional colleagues working from three of BESTSELLER IT's primary locations. With insights about various aspects of our products, technologies and engineering practices, we complement each other as a team.
We have end-to-end responsibility for the collaboration tools used across the 38 countries BESTSELLER is present in today. We always search for new ways of creating value, while continually improving our existing solutions.
In BESTSELLER IT the atmosphere is more like that of a start-up than an IT department with hundreds of colleagues. We have rapid decision processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies, and we move fast from idea to execution.
The position
As Scrum Master, you are the collaboration team's agile frontrunner with the primary responsibility of promoting and supporting the agile principles. You coach and guide the team and organisation to use agile methodologies to create true business value. You passionately strive towards strengthening the collaboration between colleagues with various professional and personal qualifications.
More specifically, your tasks include:
- Support using the Scrum framework and Agile methodology
- Facilitate the team for better creativity and efficiency
- Remove impediments of the team
- Ensure SCRUM events are held
- Assist the Product Owner to keep the product backlogs in good shape and ready for the next sprint.
Qualifications
- Scrum Master with some years of work experience from a Scrum Master role
- Experience with operations is an advantage
- Experience working with distributed teams is considered an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Personality
You are result-oriented and have an eye for facilitating excellent collaboration between the agile team, the Product Owner and the business. You are a natural when it comes to assisting and supporting cross-functional teams as well as when it comes to collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders. You are creative when it comes to facilitating agile practices as well as in coaching and provide ongoing feedback to your team, enabling them to make the best decisions, work efficiently with their tasks and thrive in doing so. You have an agile mindset and want to influence your colleagues and surroundings.
