About the position
Thanks to its backlog, contribution margins and innovations, Service is a key pillar of the company success. We need a sales expert to support globally our product development and sales teams.
Being the voice of the customers, with a good understanding of markets and competitors offering within Service's organization, you will be a key stakeholder of the product development process, making sure that solutions fit perfectly markets & customers' needs.
You will take ownership of selected released products & service offerings, being the subject matter expert and one-point of contact for the operational sales organization when it comes to product/solution support and product training. When required, you will also support directly during critical negotiations with existing and potential customers.
Speaking to customers and introducing new solutions during the fairs and customers events, and visiting internal stakeholders in the 5 regions, you should expect approximately 30 travelling days per year.
The position is based in Marketing and you will report directly to the Head of Marketing. Marketing is a corporate function within Product Line Sales & Marketing. You will join a team of highly dedicated individuals working in Pamplona and in Brande, As a team Marketing is responsible for customer satisfaction, voice of customer, sales marketing and marketing communication activities.
What are my responsibilities?
Voice of Customer & market intelligence:
- Being in fairs, technical forums, customers' workshop, speaking with commercials, with head of marketing in regions, etc to gather existing or future customers' needs
- Consolidate and share with SE organization the VoC to ensure that minimum valuable products have the necessary functionalities
- Gather, consolidate and share with SE organization market trends, new technologies, competitors offering and successes.
- Identify customer decisions makers & opinion leaders
Product development support
- Leveraging the VoC, provide the necessary inputs to the Product Development Process for new products in your domain of expertise.
- Validate business case by assessing potential revenues and proposing a pricing & commercial strategy with marketing & head of sales manager in each regions
- Elaborate sales documentation to support original product launches and train regional marketing people & commercials so they can then be autonomous
- Speak in public as you will need to introduce and explain your products & service in fairs, technical forums, etc.
- Products design changes analysis & characterization: base on the inputs from sales, you will drive the commercial repositioning of the product (pricing strategy, etc.)
Sales support
- Support commercial teams during sales negotiations with customer for critical sales
- Communicate about products changes to commercial departments
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- You have +5 years business systems analysis experience for large projects or programs of work, and/or related Wind industry business experience
- You have a technical master’s degree with a proven sales experience in wind industry, preferably in service business.
- You have experience in conducting sales negotiations and interviews for requirement gathering, working with internal and external customers’ experts
- A good understanding of technical complex solutions and able to communicate those in a simple manner internally and externally, clearly articulating benefits.
- A strong communicator who enjoys having a broad interface in a large international organization, able to speak in public, and is comfortable in dealing with complex issues internally as well as directly with customers.
- A strong team player in cross functional teams who at the same time is able to solve tasks individually, meaning that you can establish and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with all business areas and stakeholders' culture and educational backgrounds
- You have experience in the development of documentation, requirements and business cases in both technical and non-technical language,
- You are customer focused, setting high standards for quality, work systematically and methodically for consistently achieving project goals
- You are able to adapt to change, accepting new ideas and initiatives and makes positive use of the opportunities presented
- You demonstrate pragmatic judgement, balancing pace, risk and business value to reach decisions which are well informed and actionable
- You are autonomous, self-motivated, creative, passionate and able to acclimate into a fast-paced dynamic environment
