Would you like to take part in achieving the ambitious goals Cheminova have set for achieving our new product registrations? We are looking to recruit an experienced Ecotoxicologist to our Global Regulatory Science group. You would provide expert advice to support proprietary and generic plant protection products from an Ecotoxicology perspective through the regulatory process to successful registration. The position will be varied and will require innovative thinking to: • Evaluate, develop and initiate ecotoxicological testing strategies to support active substances and plant protection products through the registration process, within European and global markets. • Prepare and defend submission dossiers (including risk assessment) in all areas of Ecotoxicology. • Develop innovative and higher-tier solutions for risk assessment in all areas of Ecotoxicology. • To develop strong collaborative / working relationships with key professionals in the field of ecotoxicology (academic and research) to support testing and risk assessment for all areas (bird and mammal, non-target arthropod (including bee), non-target soil organisms and aquatic risk assessment. • To follow developing regulatory and scientific trends to ensure state of current knowledge approaches are employed in Cheminova dossier submissions. The Global Regulatory Science group is located between two regulatory offices; Lemvig, Denmark and Harrogate, UK. You will refer to the Head of the Global Regulatory Science Group and must expect some travel, largely within Europe, but also worldwide. Your qualifications: • A degree in biology / chemistry or a related life-science discipline. • A higher degree in a related specialism (ideally) • A minimum of 3-5 years practical experience in ecotoxicology, ideally in the field of study direction / study monitoring, including an ability to critically evaluate relevant scientific literature (all relevant experience will be considered). • Practical experience of the plant protection product regulatory process within the EU and / or global markets.
