Would you like to play an important role in innovation with the world's largest offshore wind energy developer and operator? Join us and become R&D Support Specialist in the Research & Development department, which is responsible for monitoring and influencing relevant norms and standards, developing new technologies, tools and systems for the main elements of offshore wind power plants in a portfolio of R&D projects and for all external technology collaborations with research institutions, universities and private companies. It is furthermore responsible for co-funding schemes as well as for the IPR strategy and IPR support across the company. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind power projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling between our two main Danish offices in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As R&D Support Specialist you will be an essential part of the R&D team shaping the future strategy of R&D, and not least all the structures needed for R&D projects in Wind Power. Your role will be to monitor all relevant national and international co-funding schemes, advise on which to apply for and support the preparation of applications, thereby ensuring external funding for the R&D portfolio. You will also be responsible for managing our entire collaboration with universities, including arranging and conducting management meetings, developing our guest teacher programme and engaging in 'Engineer the Future' as well as further developing the thesis programme to include students from all semesters. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •be involved in national and international norms and standards working groups to ensure that Wind Power has optimal influence on the creation of design standards for future wind power plants •administratively manage major projects together with technical R&D project managers •manage projects regarding R&D activities •participate in ad hoc R&D business projects, technology evaluations etc. Your profile You have a degree in engineering and have likely been working for a couple of years as a project manager, design engineer or alike. Ideally you have experience in leading projects with many stakeholders or have had a project support role. You have a good insight into how universities are doing external research and collaboration projects, and experience from as well as networks in key faculties of the Danish universities is considered an advantage. You furthermore have experience and knowledge of the focus and procedures of national and international funds, such as Innovationsfonden, EUDP and Horizon 2020. Finally, you have been working in international working groups drafting new versions of standards preferably within the wind energy industry. As a person you are outgoing, a good communicator and networker, and you possess good problem solving and analytical skills. You are very comfortable working in a matrix organisation as well as establishing and maintaining many external contacts. You thrive in an environment with multiple parallel activities, often with short deadlines, and you follow up on colleagues to ensure the entire project is moving ahead.
