Would you like to optimize the purchasing flow of our 5000 different stock items, to serve our customers with the 250.000 shipments we send to them every year?

The purchasing manager will get the responsibility for forecasting, purchasing, controlling quality and quantities, barcodes, product numbers, logistic between suppliers and the contact and negotiations with suppliers.  

The responsibility of the purchasing manager has so far been split between different people, who also works with product design/development and the warehouse. Your role is between product design/development, marketing and the warehouse. You will be working closely with them, but also taking the purchasing responsibility of their shoulders and solve the purchasing task even more qualified. You will from day one have a purchasing assistant.

You’ll be responsible for

• Forecasting and purchasing.
• Optimization of purchasing flow and shipping.
• Controlling qualities, quantities, colors, versions, labelling etc.
• Coordinating logistics between suppliers (wrapping, booklets, tags etc).
• Ensure necessary legal labelling.
• Ongoing reordering and negotiation with suppliers.
• Coordinating wrapping and other details.

 

Your qualifications

You have relevant experience, preferably from the fashion industry. You understand the supply chain from design to shipping to the customer, and you know the value of a skilled purchaser. You work independently and will quickly be able to acquire a good understanding of what we do now, and how you can optimize.

 

• You work systematically and analytical - you excel at excel.
• You are able to gain the big overview while remembering the small details.
• You know precisely how to forecast.
• You are strong at considering the financial side of purchasing: equity, cost and contribution margin.
• You use your economical thinking to optimize where ever you can.
• You are experienced in being the decision maker and you have abilities to lead.
• Your are able to push things through bough internally and in relationship to suppliers.
• You know how to clarify and coordinate quality and logistics with suppliers.
• You are clear and precise in communication.
• You are experienced in working internationally.
• You are a good colleague.
