Associate Manager, Fermentation, EMA Operations 
Are you looking for new challenges in a truly dynamic environment where no two days are the same? If so, you could be our new colleague at the production site Fuglebakken located in Copenhagen N. At Fuglebakken we produce enzymes primarily for the food and beverage industry. The job is in the fermentation department, where our large-scale fermenters are running at full capacity to support Novozymes’ overarching growth strategy.

You will head up daily operation with focus on safety, capacity, quality and process economy. You will lead a team consisting of a process technician, a process engineer and 12 skilled process operators working in shifts. You will provide leadership and guidance to the individual team members and together with your Associate Manager colleague, you will ensure development of the team competencies. You will report to the Department Manager and take part in the departments Leadership Team, responsible for executing our strategy and meeting our ambitious targets.

The ideal candidate has a proven track-record within leadership and people management as well as competencies within fermentation technology and/or production experience from another relevant process industry.

In this position, you need to:

• Have an educational background as M.Sc. within Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or similar technical education. Alternatively, a B.Sc. combined with several years of experience from working in the process industry.
• Be a dynamic, committed and outgoing person cooperating well with all employee groups. Thriving in a production where decisions often need to be made fast.
• Appreciate working with people management and processes with an ambitious, proactive and open-minded approach.
• Have ability to focus on the broader perspective of things and handle many tasks at the same time without losing the overview.
• Have good communication skills with fluency in Danish and English.
