PEX > Strategic Projects > COO Project Management Office Together with Global Procurement, Global QSE and PEX form the COO area. The production segments are responsible for manufacturing Vestas in-house wind turbine components, while Global Procurement is responsible for managing Vestas spend with external suppliers world-wide. The COO Project Management Office consists of three sub-departments: Project Excellence, Portfolio Management, and Project Managers. Project Excellence is responsible for driving the continuous improvement of project execution through competence development, methods, standardization, & project start-up. Portfolio Management is responsible for overall Project prioritization based on active management of resources, projects and performance in accordance with Vestas strategy. The Project Manager's sub-department consists of Project Managers who are responsible for delivering excellent project management to projects in the COO area. Responsibilities You will be responsible for driving the following areas as a project specialist: Responsible for business case development in strategic projects. Develop supply-chain localization strategies together with the responsible project manager's. Facilitate senior management governance meetings regarding local content. Undertake business development activities in emerging markets to support the sales organization. Advisement of project manager´s on project standards and methodologies during the project lifecycle. Active participant in driving project excellence initiatives to lift Vestas project management capabilities. Qualifications M.Sc. in finance, economics or business Project management training and certification is considered a plus. You have hand-on experience with management of the business case development process delivering profitable projects that meet customer's needs. Experience working in a consultancy company as a business analyst is considered a plus. You are experienced in preparing material and presenting to senior management. You have 2+ years' experience working in a position in an international company requiring you to work across functions / business units were you had interaction with external companies. Competencies Professional skills: Strong financial acumen & analytical skills. Communicate with conviction and clarity. Understand and are able to use the project manager toolbox (stakeholder management, risk management, scheduling / critical path management, objective setting, scope management, task-progress list management. - Ensuring clear roles/responsibilities of team-members, etc.) Language: English; Spanish is considered a plus. Proficient in Microsoft project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. You have the following personal skills: Passionate about business development in emerging markets and improving how organizations improve project management Highly proactive in ensuring progress, capturing opportunities, and mitigating business risks. Determined personality that focuses on delivering results. Are structured in managing information. Committed to continual learning and development.
