The Position 

momondo is looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Copenhagen. You will join us on our journey to help people experience the world through travel by providing the smartest way to plan and manage travel. In this role, you will be an important part of the product team, working alongside a team of product managers, engineers, designers, and data analysts - the team responsible for building a beloved consumer brand and experience. This is an amazing opportunity to work with the teams behind the world’s leading provider of online travel & related services, that serves millions of travelers every month as a part of KAYAK. This position reports to the Director of Product Management. 

The ideal candidate has expertise creating innovative consumer software products and thrives in an agile, collaborative and data-informed environment. The candidate will help drive consumer product innovation, that will deliver a great end-to-end travel experience. You will have hands-on experience on user research, product design, product prioritization, data analysis and A/B testing at scale to name a few. We work in SCRUM with a two-week sprint cycle and have established a dual-track workflow, running Discovery and Development tracks in parallel. We focus on validating our ideas and hypothesis before we develop them. We aim to release products often with constant iteration and reliance on quantitative and qualitative metrics to help define further optimizations and enhancements. You will be a key driver in optimising this process.  

 

Responsibilities

• Build a core search experience covering Flights and Hotel on momondo as the overall responsibility, with the opportunity to work on KAYAKs other brands like Swoodoo, Cheapflights, Checkfelix and Mundi

• Lead a co-located and cross-functional team of engineers, UX and UI designers

• Manage the product roadmap and setting the high-level mission, vision and roadmap for the team to ensure that your team is always working on the most impactful projects

• Define the metrics and OKRs used to measure the health of the product – and how these improve over time

• Work closely with stakeholders across a worldwide organization to make sure that you collaboratively provide for the company's short- and long-term goals

• Make sure that your team is strong and healthy – including capabilities, happiness, resilience and growth

• Make sure that your team is constantly doing the right things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support

 

Required skills

• +4 years experience working as a Product Manager or Product Owner for web or app based solutions in high performing, cross functional teams

• You have experience with user-centred design and current UX/UI thinking

• You have a technical understanding of what it takes to build and maintain large scale applications and services that you are comfortable facilitating and participating in the architectural and technical decisions made in the team

• You know how to inspire, motivate and support a team to get things done

• You can translate yours and your team's knowledge and experience to user stories and prioritized backlog item

• You are a great communicator to explain product decisions and the rationale behind them to stakeholders at all levels, in different shapes depending on the context

• You love numbers and use them as insights for innovation and decision-making

• You are highly detail-oriented without loosing the big picture

• You enjoy collaborating with teams across different cultures and timezones

• Experience working with travel is useful. Passion for travel is a big plus
