AGC Biologics delivers biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing of Drug Bulk Intermediates/Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for both clinical studies as well as for the global market. 

The position
Is a key position in the manufacturing organization, which will be filled with a candidate, who has specific experience with, and interest in the working with biologic manufacturing equipment and processes. The manufacturing department consists of five manufacturing lines, running both early and late stage clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing at 100L – 12.000L scale, covering both microbial fermentation, mammalian cultivations and downstream operations. The equipment is covering a broth range of both automated single use and stainless steel bioreactors, standalone equipment for recovery, such as, disc stack centrifuge, homogenizes, filter holders, downstream equipment for Chromatography, using Akta systems running 20 - 80 cm columns, UF/DF systems and DS storage at -20°C - -80°C. The open position is within the Manufacturing support team, supporting all manufacturing lines, reporting to the manager of the support team, with a dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Technical operations. Your responsibility will in general, cover all manufacturing equipment and systems, including new equipment onboarding. Equipment/facility fit and gap assessments for new product, introductions, identifying and leading equipment and system upgrade or rebuild projects. Build business cases for investment applications, lead training initiatives, stay current on newest technologies, secure positive vendor collaboration, support manufacturing in investigations with equipment issues etc. and to a limited degree, write change requests, deviations and CAPA’s in relation to the above responsibilities.  

What you need to be successful in
• You have a master degree within science e.g. chemical engineer, Biotech engineer etc. 
• Experience with DS manufacturing equipment, from a manufacturing or engineering team   
• Knowledge of the bio-pharmaceutical industry and cGMP
• Be comfortable in English (orally as well as in writing) As a person, you have a positive mind and a ‘can do attitude’. You strive in a dynamic environment where sudden changes may occur so it is important that you can cope with such uncertainties.
