Project Engineer with a strong interest in technologies, automation and robotics
 - together we will learn and find our way to create the “Future Factory”

The "Future factory" is about defining, analyzing and implementing what is needed for moving our highly effective and reliable production and supply chain to the next level within safety, quality, delivery, automation and digitalization. You will be part of Danfoss Power Solutions, PVG and participate as a key resource in the “Future Factory” project. On a daily basis, you will be a vital player in our new team, and together we will focus on development, optimization and implementation of new and smarter manufacturing processes and equipment.

Support our products and processes with Manufacturing insights
 - from idea to implementation with focus on smart solutions

We are a new team working with a broad variety of processes. Our focus is to identify, improve and optimize all areas and processes regarding “Future factory".

Your typical daily tasks will include:

• Close collaboration with our organization to ensure that products are designed for a future smart factory, where mass customization, flexibility, automation, smart tools and connectivity play a vital role.
• Reviewing design, perform assembly test and provide feedback and knowledge sharing regarding Design for Automated Assembly (DFAA) and Design for Automated Manufacturing (DFAM).
• Responsibility for design, set-up, ramp-up and handover of new smarter or automated processes.
• Support and develop processes for new or existing products.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and technical documentation.

Proactive self-starter with high drive and strong team spirit

There is more than one way into this position, besides your relevant educational background as mechanical-, mechatronic- or production engineer, you have relevant experience from working with mechanical-, production- or automation technologies. Experience with project management and operations within an ISO 9001 / TS16949 manufacturing environment is beneficiary. We expect that you understand and proactively utilize manufacturing tools such as: DFAA, DFAM, PFMEA’s, Control Plans and various Lean methods. Sound knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean activities would be an advantage.

On a personal note, you are known as a team player with a good communicative approach and the ability to influence. Equally you have an analytical mindset, which enables you to find the best solutions and present complex information to ensure alignment within a matrix organization, across different cultures and facilities. As such you understand cross-functional relationships, and you can advance projects and initiatives by influencing others. You are curious and proactive, which you use to acquire new knowledge, find alternative solutions and adapt to new workflows, which permits you to come up with the right solutions. Since we work in a global company, it is a necessity that you master English both written and spoken.
