Pricing Analyst supporting our energy trading activities

Would you like to support our ongoing commodity pricing activities in a diverse and international trading environment? 

Join us and become Pricing Analyst in our Market Trading department where you, in close collaboration with our Sales department and Trading Desks, will provide timely pricing of commodity requests from our sales channels and other internal and external counterparties. 

The core activity in this role is to populate accurate forward price curves for power and gas, following the live energy market closely. These price curves form the basis for all commodity transactions with internal and external customers in our Group. You’ll also be able to participate in and manage ad hoc projects. 

Market Trading is the global merchant risk trading function in the Group, where the Group’s financial commodity exposures of standard products for power, gas emissions, coal and oil are actively managed and traded externally.

 

Your key tasks will be to

• set live forward curves for gas and power based on observed market prices
• handle Sales’ hedging activities as well as trading requests from large industry customers
• maintain and develop price tools and coordinate pricing activities
• proactively and continuously contribute to improving pricing methods and processes
• understand and clearly communicate pricing methodology updates. 

Furthermore, you’ll be actively engaged in other tasks where required, including working with trading desks and trading analysts.

 

Your competences include that you

• have a master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or similar
• have an interest in the European energy market and possibly work experience from a relevant position
• have solid IT skills with some programming experience
• possess strong commercial understanding and have an analytical approach to your work tasks
• have a proactive, result-oriented approach combined with a strong commercial attitude.  

Moreover, you thrive on taking responsibility, and as you’ll interact with various types of stakeholders, it’s essential that you have excellent collaboration and communication skills and are a great team player. You have the capacity to handle short deadlines without compromising on quality. You have great personal drive and enjoy working with various types of tasks.
