Our group at DTU Nanotech uses various micro- and nanoengineering approaches to address some of the most challenging problems in materials science. The group aims to develop the next generation of bendable and flexible display materials for tomorrow’s electronic devices (e.g. mobile phones, portable devices and flat screens). We are currently seeking a postdoctoral fellow to help with the design and development of new elastomeric materials for electronic displays. Specifically, the successful candidate will apply the state-of-the-art technology at DTU Nanotech to develop highly flexible materials with glass-like properties in a high-throughput manner. The best candidate as demonstrated by the number of peer reviewed journals; strong writing skills and the ability to conduct independent research at highest quality will ultimately be selected for this position. The position is funded by the Villum Foundation and is part of the VKR Young Investigator award “A high-throughput screening approach for advancing the engineering of flexible glass-substrates in a time- and cost-efficient manner”. Responsibilities and tasks The ideal candidate has a strong background in polymer chemistry, mechanical testing, material characterization and nanomaterial engineering. Experience with nanoindentation, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy and nanoparticles is an important plus for the successful candidate.
