A PhD position within our research efforts on enzymatic upgrading of lignocellulosic plant material is available May 15th 2016. The employment is at Center for BioProcess Engineering, Dept. of Chemical Engineering and Biochemical Engineering. Responsibilities and tasks The employment is at The Technical University of Denmark, Center for BioProcess Engineering, Dept. of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. The PhD study will be conducted within a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary project effort, with the aim of providing an improved scientific/engineering base for enzymatic refining of lignin-rich biomass. The position requires a solid theoretical and practical foundation in enzyme technology related to biomass processing. Qualifications We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with an MSc degree in biotechnology, chemical or biochemical engineering, or related engineering sciences. Approval and Enrolment The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in the Chemistry, Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering programme of DTU For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide. Only candidates with a minimum of 1/3 PhD scholarship from DTU Chemical Engineering will be considered.
