The Novo Nordisk Foundation is seeking a PA and Administrator (maternity cover) to join the Research and Innovation Grants team.   

Research and Innovation Grants (RIG) are responsible for activities associated with grants awarded in open competition for the support of research in clinical medicine, general practice, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, innovation, nursing and art history.    

The Job  

You will as Personal assistant and Administrator, be working in close collaboration with the Head of Research and Innovation Grants, being responsible for administrative tasks as proofreading, preparing and coordinating meetings, as well as handling travel expenses. You will be a part of an ambitious team consisting of Scientific Officers and other Administrators in the RIG team, all working team oriented and with focus on a motivating working environment.    

The PA and Administrator will also be responsible for:  

  • Novo Nordisk Foundation Symposia: Support the planning and coordination of the symposia in collaboration with the RIG team. Facilitate collaboration and create information to participants. 
  • Pre-graduate scholarship: Administrating the activities of the committees. This entails contact to, and practical support for committee members, as well as planning and execution of assessment meetings. 
  • Exploratory Pre-Seed Grants: Handling of notices, setup of application rounds, grant management, and follow-up on active grants. Coordinating and filing grant support documentation and assisting with management reporting in preparation for the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Board meetings. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding grant administration and arrange meetings and workshops. 

Professional Qualifications  

We’re looking for a candidate with:    

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with administration preferably from a research environment, a foundation or administration in the public sector 
  • An administrative background with a Master’s degree 
  • Ability to handle many different tasks within deadlines and ensure a systematic, detailed and service-minded approach 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Danish, both in writing and verbally 
  • Proficiency in MS Office
