Our develop engineers are the core resource, securing that Vestas Wind Systems A/S will succeed in developing our well known products in the future. Cooling & Conditioning System are responsible for the development of the Cooling and Conditioning systems for all current and future wind turbines. As an engineer you will be engaged in all phases, it includes new development, mark upgrades, support during manufacturing, service and sourcing. Focus in the development is on high quality and driving down cost on all possible parameters. The Cooling & Conditioning system is a true Auxiliary System that operates across all other systems in the Wind Turbine to support and fulfill their needs, it could be gearbox, generator, converter, etc. Responsibilities: With report to the Cooling & Conditioning System line organization your main responsibility and tasks as Cooling Engineer will be to ensure the overall cooling system and component design. This will include: Identify specific cooling requirements from top level specification Design cooling systems and its components both for on- and off-shore platforms in close cooperation with sub suppliers Drive deployment into turbine projects, prototype preparation, test plan, analysis and verification of cooling system/components Contribute to future solutions within cooling systems in terms of new components, technologies and competences Conduct maintenance on existing platforms as a support to the production units Qualify new sources of components in close cooperation with purchase and production teams Qualifications: Experienced B.Sc or M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering specialized in cooling engineering and system design 3-5 years of experience in design and verification of fluid based cooling systems Good knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics Knowledge within ProE and PDM link on standard user level Experience gained from working with quality systems, six sigma or similar as well as experience with ERP/change management systems will be seen as an advantage A global mindset will be seen as an advantage Strong English language skills, both oral and written.
