Job ID: 154948 Location: Brande/Aalborg Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power Mode of employment: Full time As Quality Manager in Blades R&D you will become responsible for planning and execution of all quality activities within a portfolio of R&D projects in the Blades domain. You will be part of the Blades R&D management team where you will be representing the areas of quality and safety, as well the area of project management excellence. What are my responsibilities? · Project tailoring and management support o Counseling the Blades R&D management team in the application of Siemens’ product development process, facilitation of steering committee meetings, managing project governance at important gates and milestones in the projects. · Quality reviews o Reviewing and inspecting all aspects of the projects’ deliverables, from early specifications to the physical wind turbine erected in the field. · Technical risk management o Conducting Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) on Blades, identifying and assessing technical risks together with internal and external experts, monitoring tests and other risk mitigations. · Quality reporting and gate governance o Monitoring the completeness and quality of project deliverables according to the product development process, reporting to various levels of management on the degree of completeness for important gates and milestones, facilitate formal approval of gate passage with input from the whole Wind Power organization. What do I need to qualify for this job? We expect our new Quality Manager in Blades R&D to possess an in-depth knowledge of relevant design and manufacturing processes within the area of wind turbine blades. The ideal candidate also has experience with project management and process governance. Since our Blades R&D activities are distributed across locations in Aalborg, Brande and Boulder, CO (US), we expect the candidate to be able to divide the working week between Aalborg and Brande, as well as travel frequently to the US.
