To put it short: Vestas Technology & Service Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future. Nacelle Rear Structure is part of the Vestas Technology & Service Solutions. We have sites both in Denmark and India. The department is responsible for the design and integrity of the Nacelle Rear Structure. The Rear Structure is a vital part of the Nacelle and must be designed to carry all of the heavy components and support the systems inside the Nacelle. We are responsible for design, analysis and validation from the early concept study for new turbines to the final specification for production. Responsibilities Generating creative solutions to design challenges, in order to fulfil the product and technology road maps Delivering design work to gate reviews and to the project, matching specifications for function, cost, quality and time Cooperating closely with the departmental and project delivery teams Maintaining awareness of engineering practices and technology developments Qualifications M.Sc within Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar You have knowledge of structural analysis You have understanding of system engineering You are capable of working with global suppliers, delegating and creating results through those as part of your own deliveries Competencies Skilled in mechanical engineering and design Skilled in structural analysis using FE tools, preferably Ansys Knowledge of FE scripting Experience with extreme and fatigue analysis would be advantageous Skilled in structural verification of bolt connections Preferably experience with materials and its properties Knowledge of system engineering tools like DFMEA, HSE assessments, documentation Good English communication skills High degree of personal planning Accountable and focus on delivering on time Passionate about mechanical engineering and a proactive mindset What we offer We offer an exciting job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring environment at the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer.
