For our Procurement Methods Processes Systems (MPS) team we are looking for a Specialist within Supplier Claim Management. The MPS team defines standards and provides tools to support the global procurement activities of Siemens Wind Power. We understand professional Claim Management towards suppliers as an integral part of the procurement function and have defined the framework for division-wide claim handling. Members of this central team facilitate claims along the defined process, including the cross-functions as well as provide legal support. What are my responsibilities? • Handling claims from various areas of supplier-caused non-conformances • Facilitating technical claims clarification with the cross-functions (Technology, Quality Management and Supplier Quality Management) and ensuring formal involvement of the respective supplier • Facilitating the claim process and swiftly driving each case to a close, including the settlement with the supplier • Creating awareness throughout the company of the interfaces and workflows, while continuously improving reporting towards management What do I need to qualify for this job? • Experience in managing projects and applying project management tools • Experience in supplier interaction and negotiation situations as well as a sound understanding of supply contracts • You have strong analytical skills • You take initiative and can juggle many cases simultaneously • You are persuasive and quick to gain people trust In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
