- Laboratory Technician - Denmark - Måløv We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Laboratory Technician with expertise in experimental immunology to join the department of Immunogenicity Prediction and Tolerance in Novo Nordisk Global Research. The Global Research Unit specialises in the discovery of biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes. We also discover and develop new innovative biopharmaceuticals for haemophilia and growth disorders and explore novel treatments for obesity and – longer term – microvascular complications of diabetes. Consisting of approximately 1500 highly qualified scientists, postdocs, and technicians, the Global Research Unit conducts its world-class research from sites based in the Greater Copenhagen area, Beijing, and Seattle. About the department The department is responsible for analysing new pharmaceutical drug candidates within the Global Research portfolio for the risk of inducing an immune response towards the drug (immunogenicity), or the ability of a drug to induce immune silencing/tolerance. We are using various state-of-the-art technologies within immunogenicity prediction and tolerance, including human and murine T and B cell assays, dendritic cell assays, peptide/MHC II binding assays as well as computational prediction tools. We use techniques such as Flow Cytometry, ELISPOT and ELISA. We are a small and relatively new department currently consisting of 3 senior scientists, 2 laboratory technicians, 1 postdoc and 1 ph.d student. The department is under development and is expected to grow in the coming years. The job In close collaboration with scientists, you will be conducting experiments addressing the immunogenicity risk of new drug candidates and/or the ability of a drug candidate to induce tolerance. You will also take part in protocol writing as well as analysis and reporting of data in various systems. Implementation of novel experimental immunological techniques will also be part of your job and you will thus contribute to the continuous development of the department. Qualifications You have extensive hands-on experience with immunological cell-based assays and knowledge of techniques like Flow Cytometry, ELISA and/or ELISPOT. Fluency in English and a flair for IT would be an advantage. As a person, you are organized in your daily working routines and are able to work independently. In addition you are flexible, open-minded and a team player with good collaboration skills and a good sense of humour.
