As an IT Technical Analyst, you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand complexity of IT support in transport and logistics business. The job will provide wide exposure to Maersk Line forecasting and reporting process, working with various stakeholders in IT and business, to solve incidents that arise.

Key responsibilities

As an IT Technical Analyst, you provide technical support to business with possible solutions in dynamic and fast paced setup. You focus on the quality and availability of system and suggest /present innovative solutions to improve. In addition, you design appropriate solutions and recommending alternative approaches when necessary, ensuring customer satisfaction through delivery of a high level of service.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below tasks: 

• Clear communication to incident requestor to set expectations and estimated incident resolution timeframe

• Secure use of uniform and established operational and support procedures 

•Perform data validation/testing of release/changes, as well as clarifying on production user queries

• Work closely with project teams to plan/manage new application changes 

• Manage data sourcing issues and impact for end user reporting

•Work with support vendor resources and technical discussions

We are looking for

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in IT or Computer Science. Have 3+ years of BI experience as a Software Engineer. You have excellent communication skills in both written and oral English. You are a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision. 

Technical and Business Skills:

• Business Intelligence- using tools and databases on Infor 11 /Teradata / MS SQL. It is a plus if you have worked with technologies such as MSBI, SharePoint and Java. 

• Understanding of ETL and hands on experience working with SQL procedures

• Experience working in a busy BI support team.

• Experience working with Service Management tools

• ITIL Foundation - desirable

• Experience in Application Deployment and Software Testing 

• As a person, you are willing to learn new technologies. Have a strong analytical skill, can multi-tasking at a high level, as well as attention to detail
