Hansen Technologies is a global billing solution provider servicing the Utilities, Pay TV and Telecommunications industries. As a growing company, we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified IT Operations Manager EMEA who can grow with the company’s products and services.

The role has become available following a recent strategic restructure. You will be part of a great team of dedicated IT professionals, in our office in Sønderborg. This position will involve some travel activities to the locations in Finland, UK and Norway.

The IT Operations Manager EMEA is managing the implementation and operations of the regional IT infrastructure for Hansen and external customers as well as internal user support. Together with your colleagues in IT Service you will identify opportunities for development and enhancement of the IT infrastructure. This role will oversee the operations and delivery of IT services to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction for EMEA Region. This role manages a team in the UK, Denmark, Norway and Helsinki and we are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

• Manage the implementation of global IT Services processes in your team of approximately 10-12 professionals across our locations in Denmark, Norway, Finland and the UK. This includes workload scheduling, development of competencies, performance management etc.
• Maintain the technology roadmap for Hansen’s Department and work with the EMEA Head of Strategy and Architecture to foster its integration into an enterprise wide global technology roadmap
• Identify and define new services to support Hansen’s business needs, determine their implications and enable actionable steps within the respective zone
• Act as the Head of IT EMEA delegate for the EMEA Region.

 Stakeholder Management

• Engage with the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) for EMEA to ensure timely, accurate and cost-effective solutions
• Establish goals and objectives for your team and coordinate workflow, monitor progress and take corrective action if goals are not being met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with global IT Services teams to ensure compliance and alignment in processes, procedures and use of technology.
• Assist internal and external users/customers resolving/escalating user and technology problems.

Operations Management

• Manage proactive day to day delivery of regional IT infrastructure and support covering:

• Patching, OS Upgrades and maintenance
• Keep assets and configurations documentation up-to-date
• Consistent backup and recovery methods & disaster recovery planning
• Manage capacity to meet current and future workload
• life cycling of systems and equipment to optimize performance and cost
• End-user focused support.
• Engage with internal and external auditors to support the review and execution of control procedures.
• Work with the Head of IT EMEA and Head of IT Strategy & Architecture EMEA to determine compliance implications of policies, procedures and regulations in the region.

 

Key Skills and Attributes

Technical skills 

• 10+ years’ hands-on experience within IT infrastructure and operations.
• Strong technical understanding of server, storage, backup, database and Data Centre technologies.
• Strong technical understanding of virtual computing.
• Technical understanding of hybrid- and cloud computing.
• Solid understanding of business needs, deadlines and focusing on customer needs.

 

Personal and leadership skills

• The personal skills required in the position involve working with customers, management, employees and external consultants. 
• We are looking for an experienced team lead and a person with professional interest in development of teams and processes.
• It is key that you are a team player and have a strong business understand.
• The successful IT Operations Manager for EMEA must have a strong customer focus, commitment and be a good communicator that always seeks a dialogue to resolve situations.
