We are looking for a new colleague with knowledge about supply chain planning to join our IT department and contribute to the development and optimization of our supply chain planning applications.

The team
You will become part of an autonomous IT product team working on developing IT applications that support BESTSELLER's supply chain planning processes. We are a team of highly skilled cross-functional colleagues - all with insights about various aspects of our products, technologies and engineering practices. We are constantly striving to digitalize, optimize and automate our planning processes, and thus always search for new ways of creating value, while continually improving our existing solutions.
At the moment, one of our primary focus areas is to develop new functionalities that increase transparency towards our suppliers and give our users better control of the respective area, thus reducing waste, lead times and money spent.
In BESTSELLER IT the atmosphere is more like that of a start-up than an IT department with hundreds of colleagues. We have rapid decision processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies, and we move fast from idea to execution.
The job
As IT Analyst, your primary purpose is to act as the bridge between the business and IT. You analyse the business, the processes and the systems, you identify the needs of the business and translate this to solutions that we can develop and implement.
You collaborate closely with the business as well as the product team and focus most of your efforts on ensuring that our application counter our business' challenges and enable them to grasp new opportunities.
More specifically, your tasks include:
- Working with the business to understand new business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and non-functional requirements in the application development process
- Contributing to the design and development of IT solutions and processes under guidance of the Product Manager
- Carrying out business process mapping, business process re-engineering and business process analysis
- Collecting and analysing data to identify improvement areas and initiate improvement projects and activities
- Acting as a subject matter expert and consulting both the product team as well as our stakeholders
- Contributing to handing over new functionalities to the business through training, documentation as well as the necessary support.
Your profile
You have a strong passion for process optimization and are curious about existing and new technologies. You possess a highly analytical mindset and have an interest in data mining, analytics and reporting.
You are an outgoing and independent person with a high professional drive and strong problem-solving skills, enabling you to find optimal solutions for your tasks. You work in a structured and determined manner and you always strive to exceed expectations and meet deadlines with a focus on quality.
Being part of a small, agile team, it comes naturally to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems together. You possess a critical eye and sense for detail, take ownership and feel accountable for the team's results. You thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with colleagues across the entire business to deliver solutions with the end-user in mind.
Qualifications
- Relevant Master's degree, e.g. within supply chain management, business engineering or logistics
- Either a recent graduate or a few years of work experience in supply chain planning (demand, replenishment, and/or retail planning)
- Ability to understand technically complex supply chain processes, both from a business and IT perspective
- Excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail
- You don't need to know about software development - we will get you there when you join us on our agile journey.
