The Head of Total Rewards will lead worldwide compensation & benefits and will be a critical member of the HR leadership team. You will be expected to contribute to overall strategic decisions & leadership in the HR function whilst constantly thinking one step ahead. As Head of Total Rewards you will lead a team of around 10 highly professional individuals and continue to elevate the Total Rewards strategy to support the company’s continued growth, and ensure it is embraced broadly across the organization. You must excel at developing, recruiting and mentoring future leaders on the Total Rewards side in order to build a high performing team. You will be demonstrating an understanding of how Total Rewards supports the overall organizational strategy to enhance employee attraction, retention, engagement, and mobility as well as drive performance and business results.

Key tasks

• Lead the Total Rewards planning processes and ensure that significant risks and opportunities are articulated and highlighted.
• Provide expertise regarding the strategic design, implementation, communication, and administration of the company’s compensation programs, including short-term and long-term incentives, and executive compensation
• Develop and drive a global/international benefits and mobility strategy to ensure Danfoss programs attract and retain talent
• Prepare and present analyses, materials and recommendations to senior leadership
• Research salary market data and build creative solutions, ensuring that the organization retains a competitive Total Rewards position in the marketplace
• Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor business impact and effectiveness
• Provide business partnership & internal consulting on all Total Rewards issues, including market trends, competitive data, and applicable laws / regulations
• Collaborate on Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures for the Human Resource due diligence process
• Monitor regulatory compliance and audits to ensure compliance is maintained, as well as, responds to audit and regulatory inquiries.
• Oversee vendor selection; monitor and manage selected vendors against service level agreements and effectiveness

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR Business or related field.
• Minimum 10 years global experience from compensation strategies and programs or related areas
• Demonstrated achievement and leadership in HR
• Strong strategic and analytical skills
• Knowledge of M&A due diligence and integration
• Robust financial acumen, as well understanding of tax/accounting/legal/regulatory issues related to compensation programs globally
• Consultancy background is appreciated
• Knowledge of performance management best practices and current market trends
• Ability to initiate and drive global projects

• Solid Stakeholder management skills, an influencer and an ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to lead and manage significant organizational changes
• Ability to effectively manage projects and vendor relationships

Reporting to: Senior Vice President, Group HR.
Location: Denmark or Germany although it will be expected that two to three days a week will be spent in Nordborg, Denmark.
