Then we have an interesting position for you. We are seeking a Head of Digital Informatics & Innovation to head up a newly established department in Global Development.
The Digital Informatics & Innovation department will identify, develop and scale solutions based on Artificial Intelligence/Advanced Analytics that will enhance the exploration, analyses and communication of our data and increase the efficiency of our clinical development activities.
Global Development in R&D is leading and managing clinical drug development programmes worldwide from early development phases to market approval and early life cycle management.
About the department
This is a new department that will hold a few but highly skilled and engaged people that are responsible for the activities and initiatives in close collaboration with many different parts of our organisation.
The department head will be reporting to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of Biostatistics, Clinical Reporting, Medical & Epidemiology in Clinical Operations.
The position
Your main focus will be together with your team to identify, develop and scale solutions based on use of Artificial Intelligence as well as Advanced Analytics to support and enhance our Global development operation. As head of the department you will be responsible for resource planning, quality and compliance, and staff competency development. You will represent Global Development internally and externally together with your team and you will maintain multiple network relations as the area has a broad collaboration throughout the Novo Nordisk organisation.
The workplace is in our office building in Søborg, Denmark.
Qualifications
You should have a Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field such as life science, computer science, data science, mathematics or similar and hands on experience developing and applying Artificial Intelligence/Advanced analytics. Preferably your solutions have been developed for and used by a variety of different professions. Knowledge of software for data analysis including tools for visualisations and an understanding of IT systems is an advantage (e.g. SAS, R and Python).
It will be an advantage if you have working experience within clinical development/the pharmaceutical industry and a solid track record working in project teams and managing people and interfaces with different stakeholders in a complex organisation. You must be a strong communicator, have well developed social skills, be team oriented and have high professional standards.
