Group Tech Support Manager for a newly established Group function
Building a global tech support function
Do you want to be part of establishing and building up a new Tech Support group function in an ambitious and successful, international organization? And are you motivated by delivering high quality tech support for a global sales organization, as well as driving technical projects and initiatives? As Group Tech Support Manager you will have a unique opportunity to leave your mark on the Group Tech Support function and supporting the further global growth of the company.
Reporting to the global Sales Director, you will become part of the global sales organization and a part of the global sales management team. You will be responsible for building up and managing the department, and for global delivery of technical support and training for colleagues in the regions and for customers.
Your key areas of responsibility are:
• People management and development in the Tech Support function globally
• Establishing work processes for both technical sales support and training programs
• Sales support in the global sales organization, especially in the areas of providing high quality technical support, consulting and training on robotic application and deploying solutions
• Project management, which includes managing and rolling out technical projects and initiatives in the global sales organization
The Group Tech Support function at present consists of 3 technicians, one of which is located in Hungary. The main responsibilities are developing framework and tools for the global tech support deliveries and supporting the global sales organization in both pre-sales and after-sales. In addition, the function is operational in delivering support, consultancy and training in close cooperation with R&D and the regional Tech Support functions, that operate locally.
Experienced people and project manager
You have an engineering background, for example within mechanical, electrical or design engineering. You have combined your technical background with a degree or strong experience in a commercial or business-related field. In addition, you have built your career in a global robotic industry – or alternatively within industrial automation or other advanced technology.
It is equally important, that you are an experienced people manager and that you are a strong leader of global teams. You navigate easily in a global organization with many internal and external stakeholders across functions and cultures. You will divide you time between people management and rolling out technical projects and initiatives in the sales organization
As a person you are organizing, persistent and a true executor. You take accountability for KPIs, timelines and budgets, and you take pride in delivering results and communicating progress and knowledge.
