Technical Support Department Vestas Manufacturing A/S is an independent corporate business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. The Blades division within Vestas Manufacturing is responsible for the global production of wind turbine blades and have factories located in Europe, Asia and North America. We are looking for a Process Engineer for our Technical Support department in the Lem Blade Factory. The Technical Support department is responsible for validating, optimizing and implementation of production tools, processes and production documentation. The department has also got the technical responsibility for maintaining the production equipment. Responsibilities: Participate in cross functional production support teams Initiate and drive tooling and process optimization in the production area. Liaise with external suppliers and validate quotes/solutions. Participate in engineering change management tasks. Networking with Technical Support teams in other blade factories and Vestas Development departments. Participate in Kaizen events and quality audits in the factory. Qualifications and Work Experience: You have a degree in mechanical, production, chemical or composite engineering ore similar education. You have at least 2 years of work experience within engineering, preferable production engineering. Furthermore this position requires that you meet one or more of the qualifications listed below: Have experience from manufacturing or process industry Used to technical support to production sites Experience with running smaller optimization projects Have knowledge within composite manufacturing e.g. infusion technology, coating and spray painting Have experience in using lean tools in optimization of production processes. Are customer-oriented, service minded and quality focused Are intuitive and able to challenge the existing processes but you are also persistent whereby you carry your task through to the end You have good communication skills in both oral and written English Good performer in “Getting Ahead – Getting Along – Getting Things done” Additional information: Your primary work location will be Lem in Denmark.
