Would you like to influence our equipment projects of the future, and work with the latest technology and special equipment in an international organisation? And do you want to work with dedicated colleagues in an area of great priority to Grundfos? Then join the Special Equipment department in Bjerringbro. The department consists of 20 colleagues who are Technical Assistants, Technicians, Engineers and Project Managers. We are part of Production Engineering, which is the project organization delivering equipment to the Grundfos Group. Being responsible for producing special equipment for the entire Grundfos Group, we work from the very first draft over offer to delivery in the Production department. Thus, we play a significant role in the implementation of innovative Grundfos Products. You refer to Department Manager, Mogens Kolby. ”It is quite unique how we have all competencies available in the department to carry out the projects. And we have a great sense of team spirit and love creating the best solutions,” Mogens explains. What is the job about? As our new Engineer, your primary responsibility is to participate in PLC and robot programming for our equipment projects. In each project, you are part of a project team consisting of colleagues from your own and other departments, and together, you execute the project successfully. You are part of all phases from choosing components over construction to production and implementation at the customer site. Depending on the size of each project, you will usually be part of 2-3 projects simultaneously. The projects may be anything from small readjustments and upgrades to complete deliveries for development projects and capacity increases. Your job takes you travelling up to 30 days a year as you help implement the solutions at the sites of our affiliated companies. “You get a really challenging job where you have to be good at prioritising and breaking down the projects into smaller bits. That will help you create an overview and set a time frame for the different project phases. And then you have to be able to handle several different tasks simultaneously,” Mogens says. What do you need to apply? You have a background as an Engineer – preferably with experience within PLC programming, maybe from a similar position within mechanical construction. It is an advantage if you know AllenBradley and/or Siemens. You thrive working in a project organisation and you can document results from having followed current standards of this area. Moreover, you understand controls in production equipment. You speak and write fluent English, and it is a plus if you speak and write Danish. “On a personal level, it is important that you take initiative to solve the tasks and gather the necessary information when you come across challenges. You also need solid communication skills and to be able to speak your cause based on facts. And finally, you must be able to handle deadlines and a wide network branching both colleagues and the end users of the equipment,” Mogens finishes.
