To meet this demand, we are looking for one additional engineer for working with heat exchangers and boilers in the chemical/mechanical department. The chemical/mechanical department consists of approximately 50 colleagues mainly mechanical engineers and technical designers (both experienced and newly educated). We use design tools such as: AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, Intergraph SmartPlant 3D, PV-Elite. Most of our design work is based on international codes and standards such as ASME VIII, Div. 1 & 2 and EN 13445 We offer a position in the hardware group of the mechanical department that will allow you to perform a wide range of tasks within the fields of mechanical engineering. You will be involved in a range of interdisciplinary project groups and will acquire a broad technical knowledge basis. The job involves contact with colleagues in affiliated offices around the world and our international suppliers and clients. Assignments abroad in connection with engineering, inspection, and installation of process equipment are part of the job. Approximately 20-40 days of travel a year can be expected. Your responsibilities •Be responsible for mechanical design, purchase, inspection, and handover to end-user of heat exchangers and boilers •Participation in the maintenance and development of our proprietary equipment design •Responsibility for mechanical design and preparation of technical documentation for procurement •Supervision of engineering carried out by others •Inspection and quality control at manufacturers’ workshops •Supervision of site erection of process equipment and piping •Participation in continuously improving our ways of working. You •Preferably have experience from similar work •Are generally interested in the traditional mechanical disciplines such as metallic materials, solid mechanics, welding, and design •Are co-operative, open-minded, and prepared to work in a technical environment •Are internationally oriented and interested in working globally. Qualifications You are a qualified mechanical engineer. Good command of English, both spoken and written, is required.
