We are seeking a Director of Shipping & Customer Service. As the volume and the complexity related to the transportation and distribution of products will be increasing, you can look forward to a high impact and very diverse position. To succeed, you will collaborate globally with a wide range of Novo Nordisk colleagues across the organisation in regulatory affairs, al PS sites and sales regions (among others). About the department The main objective of the department is to ensure global distribution of finished goods, WIP, components and raw materials from production to PS sites, affiliates, IO, CMO’s or direct customers with a high level of quality, in regulatory compliance and at competitive costs. In addition, the department is responsible for ensuring development and optimization of the distribution setup and to ensure and strengthen alignment with relevant end-to-end planning structures. The job As Director of the department you will report to the Corporate Vice President of Supply chain Planning. You will lead a department of 35 employees split into 3 teams. You will be the overall responsible for setting strategic direction for Product Supply distribution (incl. future handling of compliance requirements from authorities), and you will play a vital role in securing physical delivery to NN markets globally. Qualifications As this is a high impact position, seniority is required. You have proven experience with cross-functional collaboration and a solid end-to-end understanding of the Novo Nordisk supply chain and of Product Supply specifically. You have a thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical business and you have a drive for impacting the lives of the patients through handling of any distribution related issues that may arise in a diligent and swift manner. You have solid leadership experience, including leading multinational and cross-functional teams. The job requires strong networking ability, working across boundaries and excellence in stakeholder management. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills and are able to interact on all levels of the organisation. Interactions with internal and external stakeholders require proficiency in English and strong negotiation skills. You are well structured and combine high analytical skills with result focus & drive. You are change-prepared and you have a proactive mind-set.
