Tasks & responsibilities: You will...

...work closely with the Project Manager on a daily basis to ensure smooth running of the project. You will support the Project Manager ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget and according to the required safety and quality standards (within agreed specifications).

You will discuss with the Project Manager which activities to be involved in, i.e. day-to-day communication and alignment with the stakeholders, budgeting, risk and planning exercises, other sub-projects within the project - all aimed at helping the Project Manager effectively manage the project.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Support and assist the Project Manager in every aspect of executing the project throughout the entire project life cycle
• Scheduling
• Allocating tasks to staff
• Assessing and managing risks
• Co-ordinate deliverables
• Ensuring deadlines are met
• Updating stakeholders on progress

When needed and required, the Deputy Project Manager will substitute the Project Manager towards the Customer and/or Steering Group during periods that the Project Manager is unavailable.

Skills & experience: Our new colleague...

...holds a relevant education, e.g. engineering or project management. You must have experience from construction projects and experience with Stage-Gate as well as 2-3 years of experience from a similar role. You are able to communicate at a professional level in both written and spoken English. You might already be working in the wind industry, which would be an advantage but not a requirement. What is important is that you have worked with projects of a certain complexity, based on a technical specification.

It is important that you thrive in a communicating position, as the role is very coordinating and outreaching to many other departments, where you must be able to speak in public, take the lead, get people on board and interested in contributing to the project. You will be joining a matrix organisation with collaboration across national borders in a multicultural environment. You are proactive, solution-oriented and continuously seeking creative and new solutions to new and known issues. You must be driven by customer satisfaction and good customer relations, gaining satisfaction from servicing and meeting the needs of customers and stakeholders.
