Are you interested in becoming the focal point for interactions within cross-disciplinal teams related to Data Management? If yes, then this position at Total DK, Copenhagen might be your match!

Key Responsibilities
The main goal of the position is to become the contact person for the Geosciences teams, defining Geo-information services adapted to the needs of the E&P studies optimized in cost and quality in the respect of the métier rules. Overall, you will be responsible for all DM requests and the management of priorities in these demands. You will control the compliance of the DM services with the referential and technical workflows. Thus, in close collaboration with the end users (Geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers), providing the data needed to perform the studies and save the data generated by the Geosciences & Reservoir teams of the region he/she works for.
 
These areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:

• Formalize and transfer using Data Gate (DGG) processes, the requests of data loading, patrimonial data capitalization and data archiving;
• Ensure data migration activities from legacy environment to current new environment by managing migration projects using tools like Folio, Blueback Tracker or others;
• Update and clean the master data bases for seismic (DMS) & wells (DMW) and the project data in collaboration with the end users;
• Identify and transfer to DGG the missing data of the seismic, wells and documents corporate data bases;
• Write regular reports of the data management activities.

As the Data Management Engineer, you will interact with EXPLO and DSO/GIS teams working on NSR projects in Hub, IGR teams from Head Quarters for data integration and harmonization of the practices and IS project teams (IGR and TCS) for implementation of project deliverables in DM domain. This is with the possibility to continuously learn and develop your competencies in implementing best practices in data management.

Location: Copenhagen 
Duration: 2 years with the possibility to extend

Candidate profile

Who we are looking for

Moreover, this position calls for a solid understanding of the Geosciences business: main business processes and Geosciences applications such as Schlumberger, Paradigm, Landmark, ESRI. Finally, excellent interpersonal and communicative skills are essential in order to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals. 
 
Your background

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, preferable with specialization in Data Management domain
• Good knowledge of Geosciences and/or Reservoir
• Solid experience in data and project management activities, with use of cartography and GIS
• Good user in data management tools such as Sirus, Matrix, Eureka and EPmaps
• Proficiency in oral and written English
