Lokation DK - Smørum .Are you skilled within electroacoustic, electromechanic and/or electronic spend and do you want to manage a category in the early stages of large development projects? You have independent responsibility and significant influence on the outcome of the projects that you lead. Do you like to communicate with stakeholders in a global environment, and do you see yourself as a strong negotiator? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you at William Demant’s headquarter in Smørum, Denmark. About the role You will be part of our Global Procurement department in William Demant, which consist of 10 Category Managers. In your role as Category Manager, you will be commercially responsible for the electroacoustic, electromechanic and/or electronic category in the early phase of development projects and in mass production. This gives you an opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping initiatives related to optimizing cost and the supply chain - dealing with several stakeholders throughout R&D, Operation and New Product Introduction in our different sites worldwide. You will also take part in establishing, maintaining and communicating the category strategy. Your primary tasks will be: Develop, maintain and deploy the category strategy in development project and mass production Category and supply chain optimizations, ensuring implementation, anchoring and follow-up Negotiation and contract management Supplier management - supplier approval and evaluation Change management Are you the right match? You may hold a relevant master or bachelor degree with a commercial focus, but more importantly, we look for your experience. You have a background within category management, sourcing, or management consulting, and have experience from working in an international company. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be robust and have excellent communication and coordination skills, as you need to engage with management level both internally and externally. You are analytical and fact based, and you have vast experience from working with development projects, and therefore have an interest in technology and an eagerness to learn is a prerequisite. Moreover, you need to have a strategic mindset and be goal- and resultoriented, you are an assertive and skilled negotiator persistent in reaching results and we expect you to have profound English language skills.
