Are you a skilled and professional engineer with years of experience working with Windchill Systems and business administration? Do you have a high level of drive as well as a result- and quality oriented profile? We are looking for a dedicated Specialist to join our PLM department in Vestas VPS.

Vestas is currently seeking to fill a position as Business Solution Architect in the PLM Development department, Vestas Power Solutions (VPS).

The PLM Development is globally responsible for a robust PLM foundation in the design, manufacturing and service processes at Vestas. Together with Group IT we set the PLM strategy and we lead the technical implementation of initiatives in collaboration with Group IT and business end users.

In recent years Vestas has based the PLM foundation on PTC software and established a robust foundation for our Design and documentation process. SAP is used as the global ERP system at Vestas to support the business operation. An interface between Windchill and SAP is put in place to support a highly integrated business process. Automation is a keyword in all aspects.

The PLM Development is a global department with a staff of more than 15 dedicated specialists in applications, design and documentation tools, data analytics, AR, VR and IoT, located in Denmark and India. Our development initiatives are supported by external application consultants. We work across the entire value chain of Vestas products and is hence heavily interlinked to development, sourcing, manufacturing, sales and service providing valuable data analytics transforming innovative technologies and concepts into new products and service offerings.

For this department we search for a Business Solution Architect to ensure development of our PTC applications and integrations with other PLM related applications to take Vestas further into the next generation of PLM built on Industry 4.0.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Anders T. Laursen and (lead by) senior specialist Tommy Rasmussen, your main tasks will be:

Primary role

• Join as team member of Windchill system administrators
• Take role as gatekeeper during deployment of software and solutions
• Take role as third line supporter in the Vestas Technical Helpdesk to assist after implementation
• Participate in defining the strategic PLM roadmap at Vestas

Secondary role

• Specify requirements for new solutions to be developed by consultants
• Act as Tech Lead in business development projects primarily related to PTC software
• Ensure that end users and technical supporters receive proper training

Qualifications

Preferably you hold a Master's Degree within Engineering or Programming and we expect that you have a minimum 5 years of experience with Windchill system and business administration. The following will be an advantage:

• Experience with PTC software (e.g. Creo, ECM & workflows, MPMLink, SIM, Integrity, Options and Variants, ThingWorx, Arbortext, ESI, Tibco etc.)
• Programming skills (e.g. VBA, C Sharp, C++, .NET, Java)
• Database skills (e.g. Oracle, SQL scripts)
• Data exchange skills (e.g. WEB Services, XML and JSON)
