Business Development Manager, Human Health, Bagsværd, Denmark
Human Health is a newly established platform at Novozymes that develops innovative products to improve the health of consumers. We are a high-energy team with diverse backgrounds on a mission to develop ingredient solutions mainly aimed at the consumer care space. We focus on probiotics, enzymes, and other bioactives and base their development on strong scientific hypotheses and identified consumer demand.
We now seek a Business Development Manager to support New Product Development projects from a commercial perspective with responsibility for ensuring we successfully and fast bring new innovation to the market. The focus of the position will be to develop new products by linking scientific advances with customer and consumer demands. You must possess the technical and commercial insight to clearly explain features, benefits and competitive advantage of products as they are relevant to Novozymes’ customers and ultimately the consumer.
Responsibilities:
- Map and evaluate market opportunities including identification of competitive gaps
- Scope and evaluate new product concepts to improve human health together with colleagues in Human Health Innovation
- Develop and refine product concepts by use of consumer insights and secondary market research to assist in the development of target product profiles
- Take on commercial project management tasks driving product development projects to early stage commercialization and ensure successful handover to sales & marketing for launch
- Effectively coordinate with colleagues across functions – R&D / Innovation, IP, production, quality, regulatory, sales & marketing – to ensure requirements for commercial success are met
The job is based in Bagsværd reporting to the Head of Business Development for Human Health, Thomas Kuhlman, and requires up to 30 travel days per year.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree within business with a flair for science or Master’s degree within biological / medical sciences combined with an MBA and/or relevant commercial experience
- Commercial experience (business development / sales / marketing / innovation) from a global B2B or B2C business within a human health related industry or experience from working with this industry as a consultant
- Proven track record of strong project execution with a passion for delivering impact and tangible business results
- An entrepreneurial spirit and drive, ability to thrive in uncertainty and constant change and willingness to do what is required to make things move forward
- Excellent oral and written English skills
