About the Position

For our Global Reporting and Controlling hub in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for a Business Controller to further strengthen the financial planning and reporting for our Service business unit.
Currently, the hub consists of four highly skilled finance and controlling specialists that together with the controlling hub in Pamplona forms the Global Business Controlling department for Service with the department manager based in Pamplona. The Brande controlling hub monitors the Service regions around the globe as well as certain global headquarter functions. Service business unit key figures are reported to the corporate business controlling department located in Hamburg, Germany and Zamudio, Spain. The department is also responsible for the global budget and works closely together with our executive management, in particular our CFO.

What are my responsibilities?

In your capacity as Business Controller you will carefully monitor and support the Service regions with controlling and planning of key figures and budget. Some flexibility is required, as you will be working with different time zones, however, with limited travelling activity. Key responsibility includes:

• Reporting, planning and controlling of key figures for some of the Service regions based on their input on e.g. new orders, revenue, costs, profit, cash flow, headcounts and balance sheet items. To be done for four Reporting Scenarios: Flash, Preliminary, Actuals and Forecast.
• Controlling of Order Backlog information on a monthly basis
• Managing or supporting ad hoc assignments, e.g. working capital analyses, major orders, budget, cost spend monitoring, currency effects and financial reporting projects.
• Understand the specific business activities in the regions and participate in the quarterly business review with regions
• Support in providing reporting templates for the business reviews mentioned above
• Support Service regions with extracting key figures from SQL database, owned by Global Business Controlling
• Reporting and controlling of the annual budget for Service regions, which includes setting the financial targets for these regions together with Head of Business Controlling and taking part in the regions' budget presentations together with Service management.
• Preparation of internal management reports
• Ad hoc tasks, including integration tasks in connection with the ongoing Siemens Gamesa merger

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have a master's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.
• You are results-oriented and eager to meet deadlines. You have an eye for details and possess strong analytical skills as well as a quality-oriented approach towards your assignments.
• You are well-versed in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP-Business Warehouse and/or SQL databases. Knowledge related to SQL databases for maintaining of financial data within our Business Controlling department would be an advantage, but not a requirement
• You possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing, have good interpersonal skills and are capable of working with people from different cultures and organizational levels
