Realise new design principles

Ever seen the world through a 6-year-old´s eyes as they open a LEGO® box? Eyes running over the building instructions. The joy of hearing the crackle as the bag is ripped open, and the building experience can begin. In this job, you get to do exactly that. Acting as the user-focused, facilitating voice in our building experience design process, you will be working throughout the development process from conceptual idea, following through to execution.

You will ensure that we always live up to our LEGO Play Promise when all LEGO parts come together into the full LEGO experience. By challenging status-quo and realising new design principles, you will gradually evolve the LEGO building experience. Bridging internal capabilities with the expectations of our end users, you will:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the LEGO building system and variety in target groups

 • Play a key role in the visualisation and maturation of new building concepts and consumer journeys

• Engage in and drive close and visible collaboration across the Design organisation in pilot projects and explorations

• Bring your natural interest and curiosity in the digital space into our Experience Design agenda

A new team with a 360-degree approach

You will be working in a newly established building experience design team positioned in the heart of the LEGO Design organisation.

You are able to visualise and communicate on a conceptual level, and you use your curiosity and strong communication skills to build relations and connect the dots across the development organisation.

While enjoying the collaboration with a variety of specialist colleagues, you ensure that we take a user-oriented approach and base our decisions on first-hand user feed-back. You have a strong sense for details and are interested in insights and data analytics as direction-setting parameters. Your qualifications:

• You have a few years of experience in the field of (digital) design or innovation

• You hold a degree within design or experience design, giving you a well-developed methodological toolbox

• You speak and write English effortlessly

• It is a plus if you have experience with data analytics/machine learning
