COWI holds a widely respected position in the international market for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, and joining the Tunnels and Underground Infrastructure group you would work on some of the world´s most prestigious and challenging projects.

We are seeking a BIM Specialist to join our team in Lyngby (Denmark).

Role summary:

Reporting to the Head of Section, you are an experienced Revit specialist whom will be accountable for developing our BIM team to work on a wide range of underground structures globally. You will be accountable for BIM expertise and BIM delivery on multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications and skills required: 
 

• Relevant education as a civil engineer, architect or construction architect
• More than 3 years of experience as BIM Manager/Coordinator in projects with multiple disciplines involved, like Concrete Structures, Architecture, MEP, Geo
• High Expertise with Civil 3D, Revit and Navisworks, as demonstrated by sophisticated use of software beyond just modelling 3D content
• Scandinavian language is required (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian)

Key responsabilities include, but are not limited to:
 

• Prepare and maintain Civil 3D and Revit models according to project requirements
• Drawing production from the models done in Revit and Civil 3D
• Use Navisworks to coordinate BIM model with all design team members from other trades and demonstrate conflicts and clashes which must be resolved.
• Run BIM coordination and kick-off meetings to resolve conflicts
• Develop BIM execution plans and set up project BIM processes
• Regularly review BIM model content, checking for errors and inconsistencies in the work of others, keeping files as small as possible through a systematic management process
• Create and own the multidisciplinary spatial coordination responsibility for tunnels and underground infrastructures projects in 3D, taking into account coordination with structural, architectural, MEP and civil components
• Create modelling protocols that allow for export of Civil 3D and Revit content to analysis and visualization software like Navisworks and to other BIM software such as Microstation, Tekla, Rhino, etc.
• Customise intelligent components to optimise production of the entire Tunnels team. Having API knowledge for specifying or programming plug ins is an advantage
• Be responsible for BIM file management for multiple projects, including file naming, versioning, viewports, paper sheet setup, scripts, etc, along with management of file transfer protocols in an organized fashion
• Be capable of sharing your knowledge to the rest of the team by training sessions

Competences needed: 
 

• Familiar with BIM Standards (PAS/BS 1192, CoBie, PennState BIM Uses etc)
• Familiar with visualization/presentation programs such as Infraworks, Lumion or similar.
• Familiar with the interoperability between different software programs, like Civil 3D, Revit, Tekla, Bentley programs
• Ability and willingness to learn new programs as required by individual projects
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• You will be a confident communicator and presenter and possess excellent written and spoken English and one Scandinavian language such as Danish, Swedish or Norwegian
