We are looking for a talented and sales-minded Assistant Operations Manager to join our team in Esbjerg, Denmark. As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operation under the cooperative joint venture agreement between Bilfinger and Semco Maritime. With a proactive attitude and the right mind-set, you will have a great opportunity to make a difference and to build a long-lasting career.
The Division
Our division is dedicated to supporting operations with well-qualified and experienced staff who carry out maintenance and repair of wind and oil platform structures, fabric maintenance, rope access and work activities relating to NORM.
Responsibilities and tasks:
You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager in Denmark and will be responsible for further building up and developing a strong service department covering our service deliverables to customers working in the offshore industry.
Some of our services include:
Surface treatments (onshore and offshore) for the wind, oil & gas industry
Rope access operations given our Operator and Trainer Membership of the IRATA association
All types of special cleaning jobs (pipework etc.) based on specific environmental specifications
Special services required by our customers
Business development and new service solutions within our business are
Professional qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a relevant technical education and a background from the offshore industry combined with a deep understanding and business insight.
Furthermore, the following skills are preferable:
- Proven management experience from leading hourly paid employees and salaried specialists
- Fluent in English – both orally and in writing
- Speaks and understands Danish
- High degree of cultural competencies and an empathic approach
- Proven tender and negotiating experience
- Planning and coordination experience
- Experienced IT user
- Knowledge of surface treatments
