Then you might be the next member of our dedicated team of purification and cultivation experts in Novo Nordisk. About the department The construction of our new Biopharm NovoSeven® API facility is ready to enter the next phase – and now it needs to be planned and structured in detail together with the main contractors in the project before the implementation phase. The facility will cover all up- and downstream production activities from cultivation to purification of NovoSeven® API, medicine we provide to thousands of hemophilia patients around the world. The department will grow steadily until 2018 when the facility will be ready for production. To begin with, though, you will be part of a project team of dedicated and talented academics and technicians. Our tone is relaxed, and if you enjoy sharing your knowledge and learning from others, you will enjoy working here. The new facility will be located at our impressive site in Kalundborg, but until summer 2015, you will be working with your team in Bagsværd. Currently, we are looking for two or more colleagues on either cultivation or purification processes. The job You will be a defining part of a collaborate effort to structure and equip one of a modern production facility. The development, qualification and documentation of the production processes will be your main focus until the facility is ready for production in 2018. Your team will test and validate processes and equipment, and along with your colleagues, you will define and document operating procedures. It will be your responsibility that new equipment and the process meet our strict specifications, and you will be guiding external suppliers towards this goal – in close collaboration with your colleagues. Since you will be structuring large parts of the cultivation or purification processes in the new facility, you will after the project phase become an important player in the production of NovoSeven® API. When the facility is ready for production, much of your time will be spent on the production floor and your dialogue with operators and technicians will be crucial to problem solving and the optimization of processes. Qualifications You hold a master’s degree in chemistry or microbiology – or maybe you have experience with pharmaceutical production with a different background. It is definitely an asset if you have some experience with production processes (cultivation mammalian cells or column chromatography), protein chemistry, but the right person will be trained if necessary. We expect you to excel at following through at a steady pace. You enjoy chasing sharp deadlines in a changing environment, and you are consistent in coming up with clever solutions to specific challenges.
