Detailed Description Improving our warehouse operations You will focus on the development, support and implementation for processes & practices relating to FLSmidth’s warehouse operations. As such, you will have a pivotal role in obtaining and understanding the as-is state and best practices, and then developing, streamlining and improving our Global warehouse’s processes; focusing on best in class safety, efficiency and flows. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing, and ensuring compliance a “one-way” of working across the company in all warehouse operations processes & tools, which integrates with various related business unit activities. This global process model will include, but not be limited to: goods receipt, material handling and inventory control, distribution and shipping. As it relates to inventory control and warehouse operations you will be responsible for assisting with warehouse design, determining optimum work flow, establishing and / or unifying electronic management processes (such as barcoding), and implementing, or improving upon, cycle count routines. In all tasks, the Quality and Lean approach must be applied to ensure high quality and efficient work flows. Your primary work areas: · Responsible for defining and roll out of the warehouse excellence program globally · Act as a center of excellence for the group in terms of warehouse operations · Define and roll out a unified way of working in our warehouses globally, one-company / one-way approach · Act as change agent and resource to warehouse managers, in creating plans for improvement · Design a global warehouse performance management system to track safety, quality and productivity in our warehouses · Follow up on agreed development plans with each warehouse manager to ensure progress and knowledge sharing across the company · Develop a warehouse excellence audit process and tool(s) to ensure sustainable processes and to keep track of best practice implementation Job Requirements Experience within Lean, Logistics and Warehouse Operations You have a solid theoretical background with a master’s degree, or equivalent, in Engineering or Business with supply chain focus. This is backed a minimum of 3 years’ experience within Lean, Logistics and Warehouse Operations. In combination with your high drive this background makes it natural for you to contribute with ideas that can develop your job, our business and bring FLSmidth to world-class supply chain management. You have excellent skills within IT, especially Excel, Outlook and Oracle and have a high level command of English, written and spoken. On the personal level you are analytical and an excellent communicator who understands how to express the essence behind the numbers both orally and in writing. To succeed, you must work very structured and be good at planning. This includes your ability to handle multiple priorities, sometimes with tough deadlines, without losing the overview or jeopardize the details. You are a fast learner and keep yourself updated on latest trends and market updates. At the same time you are open and outgoing, good in co-operation and stakeholder management and keep focused on building the right relationships
