Are you able to maintain control of the situation and do you know how to generate overview of coherence, trends and numbers while understanding the need of the business and converting your professional skills to the relevant business context? If so, you are qualifying to become the new Indirect Tax Manager within the Tax Department of OW Bunker A/S. Within the Tax Department we focus on strengthening the compliance and risk management of the company. This is not done behind the desk alone, but also in close cooperation with the business entities across the OW Bunker Group. As Indirect Tax Manager you will strengthen and become part of a competent team of specialists who advise and service the entire global business of the OW Bunker Group. The position is newly established and the primary work place will be at the OW Bunker HQ in Nørresundby. Securing compliance regarding indirect tax and VAT As Indirect Tax Manager you will be responsible of ensuring that VAT, oil related tax and certain other indirect taxes are handled correctly. This means that you on an ongoing basis will have to implement the necessary processes and supervision to ensure high level compliance in order for the Group to comply with the current tax rules and standards. In cooperation with your colleagues you will in the beginning analyse the current processes and support systems, assist in improving these and finally implement processes on a global level. You will be the link between the Tax Department and the rest of the Group and one of your key assignments will be to serve as sparring partner to the various OW Bunker business units on VAT related issues. During this you will face a variety of interesting challenges regarding communication of your business area to the relevant interested parties. Hence, it is important that you are on top of the development and spots the current trends within your business area. Moreover, you will be handling the contact to the authorities in regards to VAT and duty related questions. You are expected to be the kind of person who will pioneer establishment of a pro-active compliance culture and it is important that you are ready to lead the way, take active part in the practicalities and assists in ensuring proper VAT handling. In return you will gain a unique chance to work in a position containing both strategic and operational assignments in a global context. Analytical and business oriented candidate You hold solid and well-documented experience from a similar position within a large organisation or possibly from the auditing sector combined with a BCom or MSc in Business Administration and Auditing. Through your experience you have developed considerable knowledge of VAT, indirect taxes and excise duty. Your analytical abilities are indisputable and so are your communicational skills. You speak and write English fluently. You are capable of thinking and acting independently and will quickly be able to undertake the responsibility of the business area. Moreover, you are able to maintain focus on the details without loosing the overview. Finally, it is crucial that you make sure that you are updated on possible changes within your business area at all times in order for you to guarantee that the company comply with the current legislation. The composition of the above mentioned experience and qualification provides you with the necessary skills required to handle compliance and risk management within one of the worlds largest distributors of marine fuel, a sector where accurate and impeccable handling of indirect taxes is key word throughout the entire business operation. 10-20 travel days per year should be expected for this position.
