We are searching for a Technical Writer with composites experience for our Manufacturing Engineering team in Service Technology to create work instructions for maintaining blades on our wind turbines, globally. The Manufacturing Engineering team has overall responsibility for the internal communication and documentation that is used by our Service Technicians on site. The team comprises a mixture of administrative personnel and Service Technicians. What are my responsibilities? · Modifying existing and setting new standards for creation and update of existing work instructions used by Service Technicians to maintain blades, globally · Participating in blade component installation and repairs on site both in Denmark and abroad in order to document the working process (expected 30-60 travel days per year) · Responsible for planning the work process by creating method statements and risk assessments prior to visiting the turbine taking all aspects of the work into account. · Ensuring EHS, technical reviews and subsequent release of work instructions in Team Center DMS · Participating in further development within the Department · Training local colleagues in the creation of work instructions within the service regions What do I need to qualify for this job? · Experience in writing and managing technical documentation is a key requirement. It’s of the utmost importance that you are used to working closely with both field technicians and engineers and able to use both the theoretical and practical knowledge and experience onsite as the primary input when creating work instructions. · Have a technical background in composites. Ideally, you have previous work experience in blade composite repairs in the wind turbine industry, combined with practical understanding and technical insight. · Fluency in English (oral and written); as English is our corporate language and is also used for writing work instructions. · An outgoing and proactive person who can structure their work assignments and who is also capable of multi-tasking. Furthermore, this job requires a great deal of networking in order to set new standards of documentation for repair work on composite blades in the field. · Understand the importance of adhering to safe working practices whilst producing good quality and precise work instructions. · Experience with Team Center DMS and CMS advantageous.
