We have an opening for a System Consultant – Machine Integration Specialist in the Danfoss Power Electronics department. You get the opportunity to join a team of nine dedicated colleagues in our Global Center of Excellence, which manages the pioneering task of aligning our IT system globally, making it globally scalable. You will be located in our office in Gråsten, and you must expect 10-20 travelling days per year. Support, maintain and develop system solutions You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and continuously developing system solutions for close integration of our manufacturing machines with the upper level Manufacturing Execution System. Keeping an eye on industry best practice, you ensure that new concepts and potentials are developed within the data acquisition system. Drawing on your technical skills and your experience with alignment of data systems, your mission will be to identify business needs in the manufacturing environment and translate them into best-in-class operational and automated system solutions. Specifically, your key tasks will be to: •take over responsibility for the existing machine integration solution and ensure internal support and future development •collect, transform/translate and present data •plan and coordinate system updates and new implementations •perform program development and system implementation •create system documentation and conduct user training •translate business requirements into system solutions •perform database development and design Skilled programmer with a holistic overview and business understanding You hold a BSc in computer science, information technology or equivalent and you have a solid background as a software engineer. You have exhaustive working experience within development of software solutions for production control, proven programming skills (C#/Visual Basic, .NET, Visual Basic (6.0), ASP.NET), development tools (Crystal Reports, Visual Studio) and knowledge of database development and database design (MS-SQL). Your working experience is characterised by a focus on collecting data and creating relations in data acquisition systems, and is preferably obtained from working in a manufacturing/logistics environment. Most importantly you are innovative when transforming business needs into system solutions. On a more personal note, you are a team player with a holistic and global mindset and excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Danish.
