We Offer We offer a very exciting role as Sustainability & Partnerships Manager in Maersk Line. You will join a highly engaged and high-performing Sustainability team, under the dynamic Brand & Customer Insights function, responsible for driving Maersk Line’s global sustainability strategy and ensuring compliance with Maersk Group standards on sustainability. Our challenge on sustainability is threefold: Reduce the business’ exposure to operational, reputational and financial risks; maintain our industry leadership ambition and positioning on sustainability; develop collaborative value-chain solutions to drive transformational change and sustainable, profitable growth. On our partnerships agenda we have an opportunity to step up and link with partners who share the right values, deliver the right brand associations and build our brand for the long term. Maersk Line has integrated many sustainability initiatives into the standing organization, and you will be challenged to exercise strong influence across functions, geographies and levels in a complex organization to ensure that continued improvements in sustainability performance can go hand in hand with other business priorities. You will need to have a solid brand understanding to be crystal clear on which partnerships add value to our brand and to our business. At the heart of many global value chains, you will also be tasked to develop new business opportunities and partnerships with customers and other stakeholders on joint sustainability objectives. No two days will be the same as agendas, opportunities and challenges rapidly evolve. Your impact will extend far beyond the company alone. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, amongst other things, the following: •Support Maersk Line’s Head of Sustainability in defining strategic direction and priorities. •Lead the development of one or more specific sustainability theme(s) within Maersk Line, accountable for proactively identifying new issues and trends in this sphere. •Strategically drive our donations & community investments and identification and negotiation of “flagship” projects and partnerships (incl. strategic sponsorships). •Drive new business opportunities with customers and other stakeholders on joint sustainability objectives. Proactive engagement with targeted customers on sustainability, and support to internal commercial stakeholders to further leverage sustainability as a key value driver for future business growth. •Drive mitigation of sustainability issues that have been identified as risks to the organization, including by engaging directly and with authority vis-à-vis external key opinion leaders. •Further develop Maersk Lines strong societal value proposition as an enabler of trade and economic development through external engagement and positioning activities.
